Travel Information*

Airport: Roatan International Airport (RTB)

• Arrive – July 31st, 2026

• Depart – August 7th, 2026

Please arrive early afternoon. Mid-morning or early afternoon is best for departures. Students should not arrive before the start date nor stay after the departure date.

Safety is first priority. We suggest that all layovers take place in the USA instead of a foreign country (San Salvador, El Salvador but especially San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa on mainland Honduras). This recommendation is especially important for students under the age of 25 and/or those traveling alone.

Passports are required to travel outside of your country of origin. Passport applications can take up to 6 weeks to process and in recent years have taken longer. We strongly suggest applying for your passport right away to allow adequate time for processing. U.S. citizens are required to have a U.S. passport with at least six months of validity beyond return travel dates. Passport Application: U.S. Passport | Canadian Passport

*Students are required to make their own travel arrangements and book their own flights. All airfare tickets are purchased at the student’s own risk. Hope Corps is not responsible for any fees incurred as a result of flight cancellation or the student’s inability to attend ITW due to incomplete coursework.

Arrival/Departure Transportation

Hope Corps personnel will pick up students at the airport and transfer to the Training Center. At departure, transportation will be provided to the airport.

ITW Uniform Guidelines

General Guidelines

The idea of a uniform is to be uniform. In past ITWs some students have tried to be very “creative” in establishing their own identity or style. However, this has sacrificed the uniformity that we are trying to achieve. This is not a special meeting… this is Intensive Training Week!

Please be respectful of our request that you wear the uniform without special touches added to it. Thank you in advance for complying with the uniform requirements of Hope Corps.

NOTE: No jewelry of any kind is to be worn during the ITW, including wedding rings. Sleeves are to be worn below the elbow.
