Please arrive by 3 pm on Arrival Date and depart after 2 pm on Departure Date. HC students cannot stay in Hope Corps Center before the start date nor stay longer after the departure date. If you cannot get in on time, please notify the ITW Student Director ([email protected]).

Airport: Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL)

Arrivals:
The pickup location is about 100km from the airport. You will be picked up at a city near the venue called Asker. There will be someone at the airport arrivals door to direct you to the train to Asker. From the airport, take the train westbound. You will purchase your ticket from the ticket kiosk before boarding the train. Make sure the sign over the train announcing the next train is the correct one. Many trains use the same track. We will send you more information about the train.

There is free WiFi on the train and in the airport.

When you get to Asker, get off the train, and wait beside a local shop/Narvesen, located north of the train station, west of the train tracks.

Meeting time is before 5:30pm on your arrival date at Asker Station for your ride to the venue.

If you arrive at an earlier date in Oslo, please meet us in Asker on the arrival date for your ride to the venue. There are trains from Oslo to Asker.

General Guidelines:

The idea of a uniform is to be uniform. In past ITWs some students have tried to be very “creative” in establishing their own identity or style. However, this has sacrificed the uniformity that we are trying to achieve. This is not a special meeting… this is Intensive Training Week!

Please be respectful of our request that you wear the uniform without your special touches added to it. Thank you in advance for complying with the uniform requirements of Hope Corps.

NOTE: No jewelery of any kind is to be worn during the ITW, including wedding rings. Sleeves are to be worn below the elbow, this includes the off day.

Required Uniform – Female:

Uniform:

• Skirt: Black-Modest Straight or A Line covering the knee when standing or sitting down. Long Maxi Skirts can be worn if it is straight or A Line.

• Shirt: Blue with Hope Corps Logo. These should be purchased online from our E‐Store. Shirts purchased from Hope Corps prior to E‐Store being established are still acceptable.

• Shoes: Black dressy flats.

Optional Accessories:

• Hose: No designs.

• Scarf: Simple lightweight black with no designs.

• Cardigan or Jacket: Black with black buttons.

• Undershirt: Black.

• Belt: Black buckle with shirt tucked in and belt worn through loops.

Not Acceptable:

• Unbuttoned shirt.

• Wide belt on top of shirt.

• Rolled sleeves.

• Pleated or Ruffled Skirts.

• No leggings.

• Knotted shirt.

• Colored undershirt.

• Hair Pieces/Flowers. (All hair accessories must be simple with no jewels/gems in ALL black or your hair color.)

• Designed nylons or tights.

• Shirt: Blue with Hope Corps Logo. These should be purchased online from our E‐Store. Shirts purchased from Hope Corps prior to E‐Store being established are still acceptable.

• Shoes:  Black dress shoes.

• Scarf: Simple lightweight black with no designs.

• Cardigan or Jacket: Black with black buttons.

• Belt: Black buckle with shirt tucked in and belt worn through loops.

Not Acceptable:

• Unbuttoned shirt.

• Design tie.

• Brown belt.

• Colored blazers.

• Short or colored socks.

• Black jeans or casual fabrics. (Exception: Black jeans & casual black shoes for travel days.)
